The Photo2Fuel consortium gathered in Zürich, Switzerland, on September 18th and 19th, 2024, for their fourth semi-annual meeting. This meeting was hosted by ETH Zürich at the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences on the ETH Hönggerberg campus.
Each partner provided some research updates from the last six months, which helped to facilitate discussions on future work on the project. As the consortium enters its final year, the meeting was essential in evaluating some significant research achievements related to biohybrids designed for biomethane and acetic acid production. One important decision was to determine the system, based on recent research results, for scale-up and the best separation technology for acetic acid production.
The next meeting for the consortium will be at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in the Netherlands this upcoming spring.
